Adapting to Changing Traditional Foods
Changes in the Yukon climate impact the hunting and gathering of traditional food. Specifically, the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation have been negatively impacted by climate change. The Government of the Yukon has partnered with the Vuntut Gwitchin to investigate ways to adapt to these impacts.

Predicting Mountain Pine Beetle in Yukon Forests
Mountain Pine Beetle is increasing its range to provinces and territories bordering British Columbia. It has recently outbroken in Alberta and has been observed in the NWT. As such, the Government of the Yukon is looking for signs of the northward expansion of MPB and is planning for their invasion into the territory.
